The first lesson of the year is so important as it can set the tone for what is to come. I have created these worksheets for Key Stage 3 students to help them settle into their first week, allow them to get to know their peers better and help you as the teacher get to know your class in more depth!
What’s included?
-This resource includes four A4 worksheets in one PDF document.
-The resource also includes an explanation for the key concept of each worksheet as well as helpful tips I have for using this resource in the classroom.

A quick and easy way to ask for pupil and peer feedback. These worksheets have been designed for Key Stage Three students and can be added into student booklets or stuck into workbooks.
The self-evaluation worksheet has a 5-4-3-2-1 format where students use the prompts to give details on their own learning performance.
The peer-evaluation worksheet has an emoji format where students colour the correct emoji depending on how they feel their partner has performed. Detailed prompts have been given relating to areas such as presentation, detail, spelling and completion of work to ensure feedback is clear and structured.

Revision is key to success at GCSE and A Level, however, many students are unsure how to revise and don’t possess this vital skill. Like learning, all students revise in a slightly different way and so this Revision Menu has been a great resource for me in introducing some of the most popular ways to revise. I have started teaching my Key Stage 3 students about revision, why it’s important and helping them discover how they best revise using this menu.
What’s included?
-This resource comes in the form of an A4 PDF.
-I have also included an instructional page giving more details and tips on how to get the most out of this resource.

Revision clocks are a great resource for any classroom and allow students of differing abilities, in all Key Stages, to effectively recap material and identify gaps in their knowledge.
Revision clocks give students an opportunity to retrieve knowledge on a chosen topic within a certain time restraint. For example, using the 5 minute template, students fill out one section of the diagram with as much information as they can remember about a chosen topic (no notes or books to help). If they are beginning to struggle during the 5 minutes and they can’t remember any more, then they pick up their notebook and using a different coloured pen, they add in the information they left out. This helps students to identify the gaps in their knowledge and aid their revision going forward.
I have used this with Key Stage 3 students as well as students sitting GCSE and Alevel exams (the longer time periods are better for these older groups).
So what’s included:
One PDF document containing 3 A4 Revision Clock templates (5 minutes, 10 minutes and 20 minutes)
